Weight Loss Supplements -- THE TRUTH

Everybody who struggles with weight loss has at one time or another tried one of the many available dietary weight loss supplements, many of which promise quick, drug like weight reduction. The fact is, the only products that can enhance metabolism (the rate at which you burn calories) are stimulants (caffeine, ephedrine), and they in no way produce dramatic differences in the rate in which weight (fat) is shed. In fact, when one is following improper diet and exercise techniques (which describes those having difficulty losing excess weight), you will not have the urge to experiment with these dangerous products. After trying many supplements promising dramatic, rapid weight (fat) loss, I found that results do NOT stem from these products, but rather originates solely from proper diet and exercise techniques. Thus, no product exists that can substitute for effective, logical diet/exercise, regardless of how many supplement advertisements will have you believe otherwise. In reality, supplement companies thrive on the confused weight loss population, promising a bottled solution to a legitimate diet/exercise dilemma. It is best you realize this NOW before spending thousands of dollars on worthless weight loss pills and powders. In addition, for arguments sake, IF a weight loss supplement happens to provide dramatic results (which none do), would you feel safe in consuming the product? The bodybuilding community runs from illegal steroids and growth hormone due to their potential damaging results, yet those same individuals will indulge themselves in the slew of bodybuilding supplements that promise steroid equivalency without similar side effects (which, again, is not possible). The weight loss supplement industry is no different from the similar bodybuilding community -- the supplements are ineffective, and confusion is what leads individuals to experiment with such unproven (and potentially dangerous) commodities. Again, NOTHING can substitute for proper diet/exercise, and if you rely on such products, I can guarantee disappointment will follow.

In short -- avoid all weight loss supplements! Remember, weight (fat) loss results from PROPER exercise/diet, and NO supposed band-aid (i.e., weight loss supplements) is a valid substitute.

I use NO supplements, and have achieved tremendous success (over 50 pounds of fat weight lost) through food + exercise alone -- when done correctly, the urge for supplementation disappears.
